SCHUTZWERK at ContainerDays 2026
SCHUTZWERK at ContainerDays 2026 in Hamburg
October 1, 2026

We visited ContainerDaysHamburg2026 and look back on three inspiring days focused on Kubernetes, cluster security, cloud-native technologies and platform engineering.
The conference took place from 2 to 4 September 2026 at Schuppen 52 in Hamburg. With a great community, interesting talks and a track on board the museum ship MS Bleichen, it was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with practitioners, developers and technology leaders from across the cloud-native ecosystem.
Practical insights into modern infrastructure
ContainerDays covered a broad range of topics relevant to today’s technology teams, including:
- Kubernetes and container platforms
- Security and software supply chains
- Observability and networking
- Platform engineering and developer experience
- Infrastructure and operations
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Go, storage and cloud-native architectures
Given the size of the conference, it is impossible to come close to attending every topic, so we focused on the security track.
The security track
Back in 2024, security had its own standalone event in Berlin, ContainerDays-Security . This year, security was a track within the main conference, and it ran short on seats: many attendees followed the talks standing, which shows that the security of container platforms is no longer a niche topic, but rather a core concern for the teams that build and operate these platforms.
Two presentations made this development particularly clear: the talks “Cloud Native Security: A New Paradigm for a New World” by Mario Fahlandt and “How TLS can get you hacked” by Ali Alp. Mario Fahlandt explained that the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requires manufacturers of products with digital elements to provide an SBOM, and that SBOMs additionally help manage software supply chains and react faster to supply chain attacks. Ali Alp also provided good insight into how service meshes can create a false perception of identities within cluster resources.
Our conclusion
ContainerDays proved to be a successful event with valuable insights into the future of cloud-native infrastructure, AI operations and cloud security.
We are taking home many new ideas and perspectives and look forward to the next ContainerDays.
